Vacuum on food and pharmaceutical lines is used for packaging draw-down, degassing, powder conveying and suction handling. The common requirement is a clean exhaust with no oil carry-over, easy cleaning and servicing, and materials and seals that tolerate washdown.
An oil-free rotary vane pump exhausts without oil mist, removing the risk of oil reaching the product, which is why it is common on these lines. Where the gas carries powder — conveying and weighing stations — fit filtration on the inlet and set a replacement interval: powder reaching the chamber accelerates vane wear.
Where the vacuum side touches product directly, check materials and seal selection with us. For lines on 60 Hz supply, state this when ordering.
